Paying tribute to its founding EO Amy Bowkett who has announced her departure from the role, while welcoming Alesha Hope who is excited to steer Hawke’s Bay Foundation through a new phase of evolution.
This year we are having a ‘get our house in order’ year. Covid and cyclones over the previous years has meant we are often working on the fly. With steadier start to 2024, our volunteer trustees and committees have been working hard to ensure things run smoothly.
John F. Kennedy said it best, when he said , “All this will not be finished in the first one hundred days. Nor will it be finished in the first one thousand days, not in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.”

In an unprecedented act of generosity, donors gift the proceeds of their River Lodge property to Hawke’s Bay Foundation. This historic move will hugely benefit the Hawke’s Bay region and many of our charities for years to come. They feel confident that their gift will be well protected, grown and carefully distributed.
