All Black’s No.9 Brad Weber is offering up a challenge to fans to support his home region through Hawke’s Bay Foundation’s Cyclone Relief Fund.
“Cyclone Gabrielle has left my beautiful hometown of Hawke’s Bay, its communities and residents completely ravaged, some beyond repair.
I’m afraid that it will soon become “yesterday’s news” and the ongoing help and support the region will need, will be forgotten about. To play my part, I will be personally donating $2 for every pass I make in Super Rugby this season to Hawke’s Bay Foundation’s Cyclone Relief Fund.
Last season I averaged about 60 passes per game and I want to encourage people to match my donations through the season.
For those who join me, I will be giving away one of my match worn All Blacks Test Jerseys. If you match my donation $1 for every $2 that I put in, that will get you one entry to win my AB’s Test jersey and if you match my $2 that will get you two entries.
My teammates have also donated some fantastic All Blacks and Super Rugby memorabilia for me to give away at different points of the season. Keep an eye on my social media on both Instagram & Twitter @brad_weber9 for more details on these giveaways.
All funds are being donated to Hawke’s Bay Foundation’s Cyclone Relief Fund that funnels donations direct to overwhelmed welfare agencies on the ground, that need it most. Please check out their website to see which charities they are supporting with this fund.”
